ABSTRACT AND SEMI-ABSTRACT ARTIST
Born in Montreal and now living in Brossard, Quebec, Canada, she has always been driven by the need to create. Since childhood, art has accompanied her in various forms, from sewing to visual arts, as an intimate and essential language.
Her artistic approach is guided by exploration and research, a relentless quest for new ways to express what drives her. Inspired by her memories, experiences, and the traces left by time, she translates onto canvas a universe where abstraction and reminiscence intertwine.
Each series is a dive into memory, an attempt to capture the ephemeral, to capture those fleeting impressions that shape our perception of the world. The vibrant colors, omnipresent in his work, are a reflection of life, raw emotion, and the energy that drives me.
For Diane Fournier, creating is much more than an artistic act: it is a way of being in the world, a dialogue with the past and the present, an invitation to contemplation and reflection.
